A resident-led Board
Residents form the majority of the Board, ensuring that local people are at the heart of decision-making. The Board also includes representatives who can bring additional skills, knowledge and connections to help deliver the programme.
The Board includes:
- Local Residents – people who live in Maryport South and understand the community's strengths, opportunities and aspirations.
- Chair – providing leadership, supporting collaboration and ensuring the Board works effectively.
- Local MP – representing the constituency and helping connect local priorities with wider opportunities.
- Local Councillor – providing local knowledge and links with Cumberland Council.
- Community Representatives – bringing insight from local groups, charities, schools, faith organisations and voluntary organisations.
- Business and Community Partners – helping identify opportunities, expertise and resources that can support the long-term success of the programme.
Together, Board members will work with residents to develop a Community Investment Plan that reflects what matters most to the people of Maryport South.
