We're recruiting a Pride in Place Officer to support the delivery of the Maryport South Pride in Place Programme, a long-term investment programme designed to help local communities shape a brighter future for the area. This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about community development, resident participation and helping local ideas become reality.
The successful candidate will work closely with residents, community groups, local organisations and partners across Flimby, Ellenborough and Broughton Moor, helping to ensure that local people remain at the heart of decision-making. The role will involve developing and delivering community engagement activities, supporting emerging projects, promoting opportunities for involvement and providing practical support to the Neighbourhood Board.
We're looking for someone with excellent communication and relationship-building skills who enjoys working with people and can build trust across diverse communities. Whether your experience comes from community development, resident engagement, volunteering, the voluntary sector or partnership working, this role offers a unique opportunity to make a genuine impact in the area.
The position is offered on a fixed-term basis for two years, with the potential for extension subject to programme funding and ongoing need. The role is based within the Pride in Place area and includes flexible working to support attendance at community events, meetings and engagement activities.
