Join Our Place Standard Walking Audit in Flimby
Maryport South Pride in Place is developing a long-term Community Investment Plan for Flimby, Ellenborough and Broughton Moor, and we want local residents to help shape the priorities for future funding and investment.
As part of this work, we're holding a Place Standard Walking Audit in Flimby. The Place Standard is a nationally recognised tool that helps communities explore what is working well in their area and identify where improvements could make the biggest difference. It encourages people to think about everything from streets, transport and public spaces to community facilities, safety, local services and opportunities for social connection.
By taking part, you'll help us build a clearer picture of what matters most to local people and identify priorities that could inform future Maryport South Pride in Place funding and action.
What to expect
- A guided walk around Flimby
- Opportunities to discuss what you value about the area
- Conversations about what could be improved in the future
- An opportunity to help identify priorities for future community funding and investment
Whether you've lived in Flimby all your life or have recently moved to the area, your experiences and ideas matter.
Why take part?
Maryport South Pride in Place is investing in projects and activities that reflect local priorities. To make sure future decisions are community-led, we need to hear directly from residents about what is important to them.
The walking audit is one of several ways we're gathering local views to help develop our Community Investment Plan and ensure funding is directed towards the issues and opportunities that matter most to local people.
