Opportunity: Social Media Support for Maryport South Pride in Place
Help us tell the story of Maryport South Pride in Place.

We’re looking for someone to help us build a welcoming and engaging social media presence for Maryport South Pride in Place.

Maryport South Pride in Place is a community-led programme covering Flimby, Ellenborough and Broughton Moor. Residents, community organisations and local partners are working together to shape a ten-year plan for the area, building on local strengths and identifying the improvements that matter most to local people.

Community engagement is at the heart of the programme, and we want our social media channels to help more people understand what is happening, have their say and stay involved as plans develop.

We’re inviting proposals from individuals, freelancers, agencies or organisations with the creativity and experience to help us:

- develop engaging and accessible social media content;
- promote consultations, surveys, events and funding opportunities;
- share local stories and celebrate community strengths;
- show residents how their ideas and feedback are influencing decisions;
- reach a wider range of people, including those who have not yet engaged with the programme; and
- create branded graphics, short videos and other engaging content.

We want content to feel friendly, inclusive and easy to understand, with a strong sense of community pride and belonging. We’re also keen to hear your ideas about what you think would work best for our communities.

The initial contract will be for 12 months, with the option to extend following a review. We welcome proposals offering different levels of support so that we can consider affordability and value for money.
